First Time to Visit Poplar Grove?
Here are some answers to questions you might have...
1. What is the main focus of your church? The main focus of our church is worshipping God and His Son and our Savior, Jesus Christ! We are evangelical Southern Baptists. We are dedicated to serving our community and our world through missions.
2. Is the church handicapped accessible? Our Sanctuary and Sunday School classes are on the ground floor.
3. What kinds of activities are provided for my child? We have Sunday School for all age groups. Nursery is provided for all Sunday services. Children's Church is provided for children ages four through Grade 2 except for the first Sunday of the month. On that Sunday, the pastor gives the children a "Pastor's Pals" sermon in the sanctuary. AWANA for children ages three through eighth grade is held on Wednesday evenings from 6:15 until 8:00 PM during the school year. Students in grades seven through twelve have student services on Wednesday evenings at 6:45 in the new Youth Room which is located upstairs in the CLC.
4. Will I feel welcome at your church? We try our best to make sure each person feels welcome. There are folks in the foyer who will direct you to your Sunday School class and who will answer any questions you might have.
5. What kind of music is used in your church? Our song leader, Chad Wetherill, does a wonderful job of blending hymns and praise and worship selections. Some special selections are contemporary while others are Southern gospel. All music at Poplar Grove is chosen to worship and revere God!
